If Minority Report bombs, which I hope it doesn't. I know FOX has Lucifer and Lookinglass (aka The Frankenstein Code) that could take it's place. But, I don't know if either show is ready. They were slated for midseason and sometimes those shows start filming late.

I think the DVR numbers for Minority Report will be a clear cut sign if people were actually watching or not (on delay specifically since most don't watch live)

15 mins into this and while everything looks amazing it has a huge problem, the main female lead and her boss/colleague are thoroughly unlikeable seem like horrible people

The problem is that neither Lookinglass nor Lucifer will really garner better ratings.

This was pretty bad. It just SCREAMED "look it's the future!" every chance it got. Weak acting. Unpolished script (terrible one-liners). Nothing to see here.

Do DVR numbers really matter anyway? I mean from the perspective of advertisers, don't they just assume people will fast forward through the advertisements when watching on DVR?

More networks are looking at DVR numbers these days.

But key thing to note. In order for DVR numbers to count, you have to watch within 7 days and you cannot fast forward through the commercials. I know that defeats the purpose of a DVR, but that's how it works. There are people who watch shows on time delay who don't fast forward through the commercials.

That's why networks prefer more viewers to watch on demand because most of the shows force you to watch ads.

This article explains how the data is collected.

Watching this right now, it's at Wilmer Valderrama's first appearance. I can't take him seriously in anything after That '70s Show... If I like this and continue watching, I hope I can get past always picturing him as Fez. lol

Was really looking forward to this, and was somewhat let down

It rushed to get to the procedural part (like Limitless in a way, but at least that one kept me engaged and had pretty good acting)
Hard to look past Fez tbh
Nothing amazing about the script, screenplay or dialogues. All felt very flat.
Visual were good though

but the worst (for a procedural)

The female lead isn't very good at all imo (and to me has this weird likeness to Maya Rudolph, which was very strange), and was possibly chosen for some other "attributes"... My Wife and I laughed many times at both the camera angle shots taken at her outfit-with-tactical-holes (one in particular was a close-up shot starting on her rack, and going down to finish on her crotch as she was crouching), and her "jog" in the park gave us a chuckle (something else was "Jogging" for sure. She needs better sports bra).

I guess that Fox knows what's 'up".

In the end ... the whole time I was thinking "We could have been watching Almost Human instead of this" ...

What's with the William Gibson reference in a Philip K. Dick universe?

I'm referring to the mention of "The Sprawl".
