The leaked episode was pretty good I thought. Pleasantly surprised

I'm watching this on Monday night along with Blindspot on NBC for my new shows sampling.
A few of the early reviews on this have been ho-hum, but I really don't care. I want to continue to support science fiction on network TV. FOX looks like they spent some money on this. On the plus side, unlike what happened to Almost Human, FOX actually owns this show, so that will help it stay on the air. Judging by some of the stuff I read, this is pretty much a futuristic crime procedural. So don't expect any heavily serialized plotlines or arcs. |

The biggest difference is Fox owns this show. So that alone means it has a better chance at surviving.

Thought I'd let you know that I also watched the leaked pilot but there is a big difference in that version and the one that aired last night. The final ten minutes or so was fairly different from the version I'd already seen. In last night's premiere they had re-shot an alternate ending of sorts to account for Nick Zano's casting and this also allowed them not only to improve on the final act but set up a much larger arc that hadn't been introduced in the version I watched. I'd recommend checking out the final product if you only watched the leaked version.

Minority Report was a massive bomb, garnering a 1.1 rating, the worst rating of the night among shows on the big four networks. The show might not last long with numbers like that.

Yeah those numbers are awful! Usually a premiere of pretty much ANY show gets a lot of curious viewers and then the second and third weeks usually have a really big drop. I don’t even want to imagine the drop from such a low amount…
Wasn’t super interested in it but I always give sci-fi shows a shot and I did rewatch the movie Sunday in preparation. I guess I’ll binge on a few episodes next month or something. Wouldn’t be surprised this is the first cancellation of the season ![]() |

If Minority Report bombs, which I hope it doesn't. I know FOX has Lucifer and Lookinglass (aka The Frankenstein Code) that could take it's place. But, I don't know if either show is ready. They were slated for midseason and sometimes those shows start filming late.
I think the DVR numbers for Minority Report will be a clear cut sign if people were actually watching or not (on delay specifically since most don't watch live) |

15 mins into this and while everything looks amazing it has a huge problem, the main female lead and her boss/colleague are thoroughly unlikeable seem like horrible people
