October 1st - The Editor (rubbish)
2nd - Clown (really enjoyed)
3rd - Human Centipede 3 (ridiculous, sexist, racist, offensive and utterly hilarious)
4th - Pernicious (1/2-way through, good to see Bressack's work improving)

I have to get on posting everything up to now. Last night was the Grudge which i haven't seen in about 10 years. Definitely has its creepy moments and having Buffy sure helped. It is a solid 3/5.

Just updated the post above, up to film 22 on day 19. A few films ahead of the 1 per day target, but its easy enough to fall behind. All blu-rays so far, apart from "The Thing" HD-DVD. Could easily go 31+ blu-ray, but I'm not above including DVDs in the list and will be keeping my eye on the iPlayer as Halloween approaches.

I will try and watch as many horror movies this month but it's hard because I'm busy doing other stuff but I'd like to watch at least 10 movies in October if possible.

I do tend to find fatigue starts to happen, especially in the middle of the month. I try to keep it varied, you can always watch a couple of comedy/horror films to take the edge off, the likes of; Beetlejuice, Critters, Gremlins, Return of the Living Dead, Young Frankenstein etc.

But being a couple of films ahead, I'll maybe watch "Raiders of the Lost Ark" tonight as I got the Indy boxset in the post this morning.

Here's my list so far in watched order. Mostly weekday viewing, so I'm not going to make the full 31.

Zombie Holocaust
Don't Look Now
The Mummy (1932)
The Mummy (1959)
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
Island Of Death
Werewolf Shadow (DVD)
The Vampire Lovers
Audition
Dead & Buried
Puppetmaster
Psycho
The Wicker Man
The Fall Of The House Of Usher
Two Evil Eyes (DVD)
Shakma
Don't Answer The Phone
The Whip And The Body
Zombie Creeping Flesh

Can't decide if I want to end things off with Hellraiser 1-3 (if the new boxset arrives in time) or Halloween 1-3.

That's a tough call. I've watched the Hellraiser 1-3 DVDs this October, so I have fresh recall and they're great plus you'll have just got the set.

On the other hand Halloween 1-3 are a must during this period even if seen many times before.

Best thing is either choice ends in a great result

Default 31 Days of Horror 2015

Not sure if this is cheating:

Time in the evenings is very limited so I've watched one episode of The Strain (seasons 1 and 2) per day for a total of 26.

Movie-wise:
27: Bram Stoker's Dracula
28: They Live
29: John Carpenter's Christine
30: The Cabin in the Woods

So one to watch before tomorrow evening...

Just started Strain yesterday thanks to skyHD on demand. Wasn't going to go to a second episode. Not sure on the shape/evil nor the 'have you got my milk'

Worth sticking with?

The Walking Dead got me in five minutes but maybe cause I've always loved zombie films?

I enjoyed it. Yes, there are elements that are shit but on the whole I found it a bit of craic - silly, funny, OTT. It's a bit of a mix of Hellboy, Mimic and Blade 2 - diverting but not classic.

The cast are good (bar one or two exceptions) and it moves at a cracking pace. It did lose its way a little in the middle of season 2 but it came together again strongly by the end.

For me it never reached the nadir that was The Walking Dead Season 2 so I'd definitely give it a few more episodes (the flashback ones are very good) before you give up.
