That's how they get ya.

I've learned though. If I finish a film and don't immediately want to re-watch it, I immediately sell it. That is my bar.

I have so many movies that I haven't even seen yet keeping something I only moderately enjoyed seems like lunacy.

---

I love movies, I really do. Sometimes though I feel bad because I don't like what many on the forums do (movies that have cult following like Monty Python Holy Grail or Princess Bride were genuinely awful to me). I do think Lawrence of Arabia was alright, I just don't see myself wanting to rewatch it multiple times at the expense of seeing two films I haven't seen before.

Oh and yes yes, I know Princess / Holy Grail / Lawrence are very different films. lol.

I would just way rather watch through 2001 than Lawrence again, no question.

Sometimes when I watch bonus content I appreciate things more, but I'm not sure I'll be watching this one again.

I will say though, I'd way rather watch this again than Spielberg's Lincoln.

I know right? I sold a lot of what I bought last year but if you look at my collection you can see I kept a reasonably decent mix of things.

Sometimes its hard to find things online. X-Files I got really cheap and I'd rather watch Blu-ray than stream...but of course, I'd rather like what I own.

I just mainly have a hard time with movies that occur before present day. I remember the couple references to Lawrence of Arabia in Prometheus though, that was interesting.
Now, that is an awful movie.

LoA isn't my favourite either, but it's certainly and interesting character study and epic in scope. Truly unique.

I much prefer A Passage to India and Bridge on the River Kwai though. Have you seen those yet?

Wow! I don't think I have ever felt like that about a movie. I usually know that I will revisit it again and again, but I can't remember ever having had the urge to watch it again there and then.
Do you sometimes do that?

I have Bridge on the River Kwai but haven't seen it yet. Haven't heard of the other one.

I never watched a movie again immediately after the initial viewing and don't think I ever would, but if I feel like I could then I know I liked that movie. But recent movies like Black Mass or The Walk are good examples of the films that I saw once and don't have a desire to watch again.

I thought the concept of Prometheus was pretty good, a bit of misstep in the script I think, but I thought it was generally enjoyable. I'm looking forward to the new one that Ridley Scott is doing, especially after what he did with The Martian.

I'm just glad that I watched LoA before double dipping, I have made that mistake before.

I *think* the "downloads" are re-encoded rips though Velvet, so the file size isn't always accurate as to what the original was.

That was the original size, the other ones are not the same size

Great movie, except for the horrible ending. Waaay too contrived, Col. Nicholson conveniently falls dead on the dynamite plunger ... puh-leeze

Great... I had gotten my Amazon order in right before the set went into the 'ships in 1 to 3 weeks' zone and now they've pushed the order back to the 24th... Ugh...

That really sucks, that happened to me once before. On the brightside, if this does have a limited amount being made, you are still getting one.

Yeah, for the price, it really doesn't matter that it's been pushed back much as i'm guaranteed one, and it looks to be a really nice set. Just slightly miffed.

I ordered when it just said "in stock" but mine is now waiting for a release day too. Annoying.

Hmmm, have they blown these out now to the point they might be on the verge of OOP? I wonder if all orders will be fulfilled? I hope everyone gets theirs that placed orders.

I placed my order Wednesday morning. I received it on Thursday morning. I'm surprised I got it in one day.

Got mine today too. I guess they saved the first shipments for VIPs.

I was surprised by the size of the package - it doesn't seem "cheap" at all.

It retails for $96 so I should think not.

I got mine today but I ordered by Amazon Prime and it took 2 days for me.

Also, this edition is actually expensive, Amazon just did a golden deal (their best deals outside of Black Friday and Prime Day) and slashed its price to sell them much quicker. Quality of the items had nothing on its price dropping.
