I've yet to see a 3-D trailer for this anywhere, and it's supposed to come out next month.

I haven't seen anything yet either. If it's a last minute conversion for some reason, Need for Speed had about 4 months and that turned out nicely for the 3D considering (medium 3D layers mostly).

The 3D will make the difference if I see it or not in theaters. If it's mild to medium, I'll likely pass.

Still hyped for this although reviews will probably be terrible and it will probably flop.

I dunno, man. I love 3D, and want to support the medium --- but the Heston "Ben-Hur" is pretty much my favorite movie of all time. I can't imagine this entire film will live up to just the chariot race scene of the "original" (yes, I realize it's not the original).

I'm afraid this will be a CGI mess, and ... I'm really getting to the point where if all Hollywood has to offer is just remakes and retreads of perfectly fine movies, then ... I'm not the audience they're seeking.

...

But then, I think I need to not be so "get off my lawn" old, and maybe I should give this a chance.

Agree, it's just another remake in 3D.

I've been trying hard to stop buying bad movies in 3D but its a PITA because 3D does sell movies

Anyone get a 3D trailer at their theater for Ben Hur 3D yet? The lack of a single 3D trailer makes it seem like they're short on time to convert the film or understaffed for the conversion.

If the film has strong 3D most of the way, I'll see it.
