I dunno, man. I love 3D, and want to support the medium --- but the Heston "Ben-Hur" is pretty much my favorite movie of all time. I can't imagine this entire film will live up to just the chariot race scene of the "original" (yes, I realize it's not the original).

I'm afraid this will be a CGI mess, and ... I'm really getting to the point where if all Hollywood has to offer is just remakes and retreads of perfectly fine movies, then ... I'm not the audience they're seeking.
