Cash grab by Sony whose Ghostbusters was a flop at the box office, as was this movie. Also, there are many product placements in Sony movies.

Nicer than the older HMV UK steelbook, but not worth the upgrade.

it was hardly a flop, it's made $69,039,222 million at the worldwide box office on it's opening weekend and is on track to make it's budget back, it only cost $100 and something million, and it's had a shitton of bad press, all of which is unwarranted. and critically it's been a success.

as for ASM 1 and 2, they made well over a $1 billion worldwide, again hardly a flop. just the second one wasn't a critical success.

I got the original as well. The only way I would get these new Spiderman ones is if they had UHD in the steelbook. All the steelbooks from now on should be for UHD/BD/3D combo.

It's hard to imagine how they could make it worse than the original.

I would be more inclined to pay a bit more for a UHD/BD combo or UHD/BD/3D combo rather then the steelbook of the current format. Also now the 4K is the new premium and blu-ray is not it makes sense to make the steelbooks available to the new format.
