Now if Peter Jackson has his way, I am sure he will release the extended cuts and all special features first go around. Only time will tell. Wouldn't expect these to hit stores until Christmas 09
It won't matter (except for the waiting) I am not getting them until they are the extended cut. I can be patient

Is that at a theater? Do they show them all back-to-back? I haven't heard of any such yearly events here in the Seattle area.

People in the Austin area are lucky; that sounds like a lot of fun. "Lembas bread as needed" - HA!

“Hellboy: The Seeds of Creation” was very cool. I haven't listened to the commentary yet. Can't wait for Hellboy II.

I think Blade Runner is pretty definitive when it comes to supplements. Every (recognized) cut of the film, 5 in all. 3 hour documentary. A handful of featurettes. Commentaries. An hours worth of additional cut footage. Trailers. Photos.

Basically, as a fan of the film, there really isn't anything I could want that isn't already in there. It's the final word on the film. I think that's hard to beat.

Blade Runner is the best HD set out there right now. Very comprehensive, everything a film fan could want. I believe that the photos (or most of) were dropped from the release however due to space issues. I remember DVD producer Charles de Lauzirika saying this when the set came out.

Also, Zodiac is also quite good, and the extras are all in HD.

I'm very upset I didn't get an invite. I've never seen any LOTR's and LOVE pizza!

You might be "kind of" in luck. Until they are released on blu-ray, the best I have been able to do is watch the theatrical versions back-to-back in high definition on TNT. They show them like that twice a year - I think they are going to do it at the end of this month.
