It really depends on the poster itself. If the poster is either a collectible original or something very near and dear to you then I would recommend going with a professional framer, just make sure you use acid-free backing and if you get a lot of sunlight where it will be displayed go with UV-glass or UV-plexiglass.

If the poster doesn't have much value or you simply purchased a reprint because you liked the artwork I would not spend the money to have it professionally framed. If that is the case go with an inexpensive ready-made frame from Michael's Arts & Crafts or Aaron Brothers Framing, etc. Generally they have coupons in the Sunday newspapers. Also make sure its 27x41 inches, while that was the more common size for originals, just about everything from around 1992 or so is 27x40 when it the studio issued theatrical original movie posters.
