I didn’t care for this movie the first time around but I believe a second viewing is warranted. There are other films that have been better for me upon a second viewing. I dunno, it felt disjointed, like random scenes thrown together after the first 10-15 minutes. IT seemed unable to finish the job per se, even before the kids really banded together and this made him NOT scary or threatening. Like they were never in any real danger. The runtime felt draggy too. The final act was very much like not enough butter spread over too much bread kind of thing. I got bored.

But I’ll give it another shot via rental or whatever.

First time I saw IT, I didn't like it as much as Dark Tower (which I thoroughly enjoyed). Second time I saw IT, I thought it was much better. It helps too to watch IT with a big crowd.

It is a brand new film. Three months is plenty of time to do a great transfer on a new film. There's nothing to worry about.

These days they are creating the video master the same time they create the DCP. Commentary is recorded before the film opens now. Other than putting together special features and the near-field sound mix, it's already done. All it needs now is to be authored and pressed.

New releases have been fine. It's the catalog titles that have issues.

Interesting. I rented Dark Tower and while it wasnt" bad" it certainly wasnt that great either. I have the same issues with Dark Tower as many others - way too short, not fleshed out enough, too many stones unturned, etc, etc.

I will give IT another watch though just to be sure.
