I actually prefer Casino over The Departed, but they are both very good.

The Departed is way overrated. Get Infernal Affairs instead.

I personally would go for American Gangster. Love the movie. But Casino is another great film. Just don't waste your money on The Departed. Such an overrated movie. Didn't deserve Best Picture IMO.
