Two days ago i called Yamaha Canada and told them i was buying the BD-2900 and i wanted the latest firmware.
They put me in to tech.
The gentleman told me he didn't know nothing about this player.i TOLD HIM I WANTED THE FIRMWARE BURNT AND TO MAIL IT TO ME.

He told me he didn't know if he could do this and he might lose his job.
I asked him if there was a site i could burn firmware.

He told me its a possibility that i would have to mail the player into them to install firmware.I said WTF.

Then i realized this gentleman absolutely knew Nothing about the product and it's been out for 3 months. Not cool.

He told me to call back on the 5th because nobody knew what to do and the supervisor with be in at that date.

I Was thinking that there has been no new firmware up dates yet because of the unit being so new.
But you would think one of there employees would have SOME info on this player

After the phone call i started questioning the support for this player and rightly so.

The nice thing about Sony is they are really on the ball with firmware updates.
