I wonder if this has something to do with Cineworld (European based company) buying Regal Cinemas.
Where did you see this information?

didn't know they got bought out. My guess is that in 2019 the Regal Crown Club program will be phased out.

ATOM is doing $5 Ticket promo for AMC theaters which MoviePass discontinued. See https://www.atomtickets.com/promotio...nd-promo-terms

Good opportunity to see an IMAX or Dolby film for 5 bucks. Valid until midnight February 4th.

Is it only for new users? That’s what the terms say.

That acquisition seems rather bizarre.

Regal updated their reward FAQ with the new expiration rules yesterday...it's like Packer described.

I guess the automatic renewal of all your points after earning any points was a bit too consumer friendly to their bottom line. Highly doubtful this has anything to with the takeover though...most likely something they planned earlier this year in response to the poor turnout...possibly in response to Moviepass as well.

I forgot to post this a few days ago, and it seems nobody else has reported it, so...

I received this on the 23rd and "registered" that day, and I just checked my account and I already received the 200 bonus points. The promo is pretty similar to the one they did back in September, and as far as I remember repeat viewings of the same movie(s) counted towards that promo (as long as they were on different days), so I'm assuming/hoping they'll count for this one as well.

Here's the fine print from the e-mail if anyone is curious:

**Only the original AMC Stubs member who received the email is eligible to register for the offer. A qualifying visit must 1) include at least one paid ticket, 2) occur at participating locations, 3) occur during the promotion window and after registration, and 4) have the member's AMC Stubs account # associated with the transaction. Bonus Bucks will be awarded 2-4 days following when the registered guest accumulates enough qualifying visits to qualify for each offer during the promotion window (1/23/2018-4/30/2018). Only one qualifying visit per day will be credited toward the promotion. Each registered member can earn a maximum of $15 Bonus Bucks possible over the course of the promotion. AMC associates are not eligible to participate in this Bonus Point promotion. Bonus Bucks earned during the promotion will expire on 5/31/2018.
As you can see it does say only the original AMC Stubs member who received the e-mail is eligible, but I'm guessing it was sent to all members.

Oh and if you're having trouble locating the e-mail, the subject was: Unlock 200 Points When You Register (from noreply@email.amctheatres.com). Also, if anyone didn't receive the e-mail and wants to try their luck at registering, here's a link to the page:

I never got the email, and when I try to register it says "We’re sorry, but you are not eligible for this promotion"

It appears that Chase Pay and the Atom app are offering $7 off your order. I was in there buying pre-sale tickets to the Black Panther, and I got $7 off.

My app is set up to default to Chase Pay (back from the BOGO offer they had before Christmas), so good thing it was. Haven't seen this advertised anywhere (not even on the app) so it might have just come out today.

I can’t even see chase pay as an option anymore in the atom app.

Edit: I got it, I had to update the app. FYI it’s a one time thank you for using chase oh oreviosuly. It expires at the end of the year. If you click on your profile you’ll see the offer if you have it. If you did the bogo deal you’ll have it bc you used chase pay for that.

Ditto. Bummer. AMC is my preferred theater too but I fear their time by me is coming to an end. They don’t do late or early shoes except weekends while their competition does both 7 Days a week. They rarely have more than one person working concessions and they are in a mall that’s been in foreclosure for years it seems like and keeps getting more and more empty. I only go year to year on my stubs even when good deals are out there bc I’m afraid to make a longer commitment.

Through coke rewards I have free large popcorn for the next 9 visits or so.

Return it to the store. Let me guess Maze Runner movie cash that was stuck on a slipcover? Same thing happened to me and I returned it Target for my money back.

Yep, they must have used super glue???

But returning the movie doesn't get it in my collection, nor the free ticket to see the 3rd one.

You can always try to contact Fandango for a replacement code. I think Fandango has pretty good customer service so you should be okay. Last time I contacted them it took a few days of back and forth to get the issue fixed. Or just return it and get it at Best Buy?

I sent them a message on Facebook. None of my Best Buys nor Wal-Mart got the movie money versions...sadly. Hence why I had to go to Target. I always needed to pick up the original film, and with movie money, figured it was a win win.

Not sure if it was mentioned, but there is a new Disney Movie Reward to see Black Panther the night before it opens in select cities. It's for Regal theaters and can be redeemed for 2800 points. Includes 2 tickets, collectibles and pop and popcorn. Not too bad. Some cities are already redeemed out.

Anyone have troubles with their AMC Stubs card not being accepted on Fandango's site? It always gave me issues at Atom's website, but the Atom app worked, as does AMC's site. My membership doesn't expire till July 31st, so I'm no sure what's the problem.

edit: Apparently it's a problem they're having with Stubs all day long, so not just me

Quote:
Gerald: I can assist you Michael.
Gerald: Unfortunately we have been experiencing an issue with AMC Stubs rewards cards all day. I cannot say when the issue will be resolved, but we are working to correct this error.
Gerald: I do see the number saved inside of your account. We can go ahead and process a refund for the service fee if you make the purchase.
