First of all my young friend...Bienvenue!

Forget about 7.1 for now...there aren't enough movies out there that support it.

I would also forget about 5.1 for now, and instead go with a 2.0 system ( just 2 speakers). You can always add on other speakers later. Build your system slowly young man!

Also, I'm assuming you already have a receiver?
