Which LCD HDTV would you pick? I'm reading so much about each brand that all the words are starting to blur together. I will make this purchase tomorrow for sure.

Thanks

P.S. I bought the BB brand "Insignia" 26" on sale last weekend for $399 (before taxes) and the SD channels look like holy crap and the HD is better but nothing to write home about. I'm going to take it back and buy the one that the majority suggest.

Thanks again.

Sony is out of the budget and trust me it's more than I'm willing to spend at this time....

SONY and SAMSUNG offer the best longevity in LCD Hi-Def televisions. However, their prices often reflect that fact. I personally recommend the SONY W3000 series. They look beautiful (both in physical design & picture quality) and offer you a long-term quality purchase experience.

What did you expect when you went for cheap over quality? Sony or Samsung will be much better buys but it's going to cost you more of course.

I've always believed in quality over quantity.

Save yourself some cash, and get something nicer, you OFTEN get what you pay for with HDTVs!

Sony and Sharp are my 2 favorites.

I did not vote as you are throwing your money away (IMHO). Instead of buying anything on your list, save your money a few more weeks and buy something BIGGER! Anything at 40" or larger will do. Sams has Visios for under $1000 and they look better than anything on a tiny screen.

Thumbs up

IMO Samsung and Sony make the best LCDs. Pioneer makes the best Plasma.

I feel though you get more for your money with a Samsung...especially with a tighter budget.

I picked up a 37 inch Sharp last week. Absolutely amazing.
Mind you at that size it is 1080p.

I was telling this guy at work today about my issues with the Insignia TV and how I was going to take it back to BB today after work, well he's in the market for one and wanted to check mine out, he says for $399 HDTV 26inch you can't beat it. Well over lunch I take him over to the house and show it to him, he flips throught some channels (some shown in SD others HD) and he say's "I'll take it"!!

So now I don't have to go back to BB today with excuses as to why I'm returning their lousy TV. Win-win!!

Based on the votes above Samsung it is.....
