$54 after tax on Amazon. What a steal! Went ahead and preordered. If it doesn't drop much lower, mid 20s at most, I'll look elsewhere.

The price will drop before release on Amazon. They usually list close to MSRP at first and then come down to earth.

As long as a competitor has it listed for cheaper....

I preordered a copy through Diabolik for $32.99, which I thought was already expensive but $50 takes the cake. Even if it's just an MSRP that will eventually go down, why is it set so high?

Not a fan of any of these covers. I'll wait until they list the original poster art cover.

WE ARE GOING TO EAT YOU.

I have a feeling Arrow has something of their own planned for this so I’m holding off.

What *more* could you possibly add to that though? A poster and a hard case arent really enough to make me hold off, thats for sure. Especially considering I already have a Zombie poster.

Believe me, Blue Underground is making it pretty easy for me to just stick with what I have for the time being. All three of those covers are ugly as hell.

Isn’t that just the slipcovers? Isn’t the original art on the case?

Yes. And I'm sure if a person wanted to, they'd have no problem selling their slipcover.

The "Bridge" slipcover is now available to pre-order at Amazon.

The cover I was least interested in is all the sudden starting to look really cool. I think I’m gonna go with the worm eye zombie.

So I guess the only difference between these 3 releases is each one has a different slipcover, is that right?

Think I like the bridge cover best. Will wait for reviews before pulling the trigger to see if the transfer improves upon the Arrow version

Cover B spoils the scene for someone new to the movie. Cool for us who've watched the movie 50 times, but not cool to newbies.

considering the cost it's not likely there will be a whole lot of newbies seeing the movie for the first time from buying this.

I hear you. I figured that before posting, but seriously, where do you draw the line? What if someone has heard good things about a movie, does a search to buy it and comes across this cover? I'm sick of covers, menus, etc. that giveaway a movie or parts of. I will go as far to say that I hate spoilers in general, whether a movie is brand new or 100 years old. If I've not watched it, a spoiler is a spoiler. I've said this before on other threads where people don't use Spoiler tags, and they turn around and say, "the movie is from 1943, how is that a spoiler? Idiots. I'll stop here as I don't want to de-rail this thread. Rant over.

Only real spoilers are covers that reveal a plot-twist or the ending of a movie...not a scene that is inconsequential to a major character or to the end of the script and just happens to look cool. Not a big deal whatsoever. A friend of mine, who has never seen this movie wasn't interested in seeing it but when I showed him this cover, he was sold and just put in an order for a blind buy.

Exactly. The old splinter in the eye scene/cover is a huge special effects sequence that should be utilized to promote the movie. This is 1980's video store marketing 101. Seeing this cover doesn't spoil the movie in the least.
