I just saw this for the first time and liked it more than I thought I would. There were 5 or 6 minor things that could have been fixed with one more rewrite, but all in all it did what I wanted it to, so it wasn't too bad.

This is the worst JP movie I've seen. It's basically a reboot of The Lost World, but that one is a masterpiece compared to this abomination.

It’s pretty mediocre. It has some striking imagery and solid cinematography, but narratively it’s really dumb. Not one likable character either, aside from maybe Pratt.

Only saw this once, in theater. Didn't buy the Blu because I'm in no hurry to revisit it. I'll get it when it's super cheap.

I can appreciate trying to inject some gothic horror into this, but a "haunted house movie with dinosaurs" just doesn't work. I loved Jurassic World, but Fallen Kingdom is my least favorite of the franchise.

P.S. The infamous "dock scene" reminded me of the end of The Return of Godzilla / Godzilla 1985.

Except Fallen Kingdom didn't put me to sleep, and was actually not much like Lost World at all thankfully.

Same premise. A team is sent to capture some dinos. Havoc ensues. One side has motives that establish themselves as antagonists and the other as protagonists. Only difference being that in The Lost World there are two different teams from the get-go.

I mean... hell, they even created another hunter character just like Pete Postlethwaite’s. It’s a pretty lazy reboot of The Lost World. It plays out differently obviously but it still has a lot of the same elements.

Nah, it's just Lost World without the acrobatic raptor kick, the debbie downer hero, the movable feast taking a yawn inducing stroll thru the island, and actually taking the dino action somewhere different early on instead of late in the game when it's almost ready to roll credits anyway. Fallen Kingdom simply has more entertainment value, and Bayona wasn't on auto-pilot unlike Spielberg at the time. Lost World was a chore to get thru.

I like all of the movies and I think the new one Fallen Kingdom is just as good as JP II. Best is still the first one.

Abomination? Very harsh, too harsh in my opinion.

These are fun movies, I enjoyed all of them, some more than others.

I do wish that Megan Fox was in the new films instead of Bryce Dallas Howard. I really think nepotism is going on here.

In popcorn films let's get some eye candy. Look at who Marvel casts: Scarlet Johansson, Elizabeth Olson, Brie Larson Cobie Smulders, Tessa Thompson...get with it Universal!

JPIII is the real black sheep of this series. Unlike the other four movies, there is no enduring theme or message to come out of it.

A lot of people hate Maisie's decision to release the dinosaurs, because now that they're on the loose, they could crush and/or eat people alive. What are your thoughts?
