The only blurays I could find at stores near me were 99 Homes, 99 River Street
and 99 Women.

It was originally .99 cents only for many many years, but due to inflation etc etc over the years, they began offering items for more than.99cents.
the vast majority of items in the store are still only .99cents.

I get disappointed often at 99 Cents Store when I grab an item and see a yellow sticker with a much higher price. At least Dollar Tree is still <= $1 on everything. I wonder how they are doing it with inflation while others can't.

There were about 3 dozen Blurays and DVDs in the bin at my Dollar Tree Store mostly repeats so maybe a dozen different titles. French Connection II was the only Bluray not mentioned that I wanted. I picked it up, but the line had about 15 people in each of the 2 open lines with massively full carts and I just had 1 item. While I would have paid $2 for it, I wasn't willing to pay $2 and wait 20+ minutes for it.

That is why I never go into the 99 cent store..always max two lines open and a long line in each..and never go when it is new produce day ..it is even worse.
