99 Cents Only thread

Unfortunately, their name is misleading as they have many things over .99 cents. The blu-rays(and DVD's) are just $1.99 though so they're still an okay deal. I thought there was a thread for this store already but I couldn't find it. Anyway, here's what I saw at my local store:

I think a lot of these were at Dollar Tree recently so if you missed them there...here's another chance at them. They also had some DVD's but I can only remember a couple of them:

Yeah, I already went through that and decided to give it up. It's very annoying but I only have so much angst to go around.

The only blurays I could find at stores near me were 99 Homes, 99 River Street
and 99 Women.

They had 99 blu-rays but https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/*****-Blu-ray/191102/ wasn’t one.

Checked a store close to me. The movies were on a small basket mixed with DVDs. Saw some the ones mentioned in OP and a few others. Was looking for Carrie remake, but nothing.

It was originally .99 cents only for many many years, but due to inflation etc etc over the years, they began offering items for more than.99cents.
the vast majority of items in the store are still only .99cents.

I get disappointed often at 99 Cents Store when I grab an item and see a yellow sticker with a much higher price. At least Dollar Tree is still <= $1 on everything. I wonder how they are doing it with inflation while others can't.

There were about 3 dozen Blurays and DVDs in the bin at my Dollar Tree Store mostly repeats so maybe a dozen different titles. French Connection II was the only Bluray not mentioned that I wanted. I picked it up, but the line had about 15 people in each of the 2 open lines with massively full carts and I just had 1 item. While I would have paid $2 for it, I wasn't willing to pay $2 and wait 20+ minutes for it.

That is why I never go into the 99 cent store..always max two lines open and a long line in each..and never go when it is new produce day ..it is even worse.

Please quit defending them and buy them a new sign for the front of the store.
Or just climb up there with a black sharpie and cross out the word only and we’re good to go !
