Selling them, they still fetch $15-$20. I don't care about every exact little special feature I'll never watch again. Besides the only real thing missing is The Little Match Girl, and that's on the Short Films blu-ray anyway.

I still have the Platinum and Diamond of Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and I'm keeping them for the bonus features. I only have the Platinum Edition of The Lion King since I like the other films more.

Keeping them. Would be mad not to, since most of the time the reissues dump 50%+ of the original bonus material.
I see these 4 K re-issues as companions, not replacements.

Same here. Was tempted on The Lion King as it's an all time favorite but resisted. Little Mermaid isn't as good of a movie and some of the animation is lacking so this one is a much easier pass.

Already sold Lion King 3D and Little Mermaid 3D. I lost access to 3D when I upgraded to a 4K TV, and I don't keep multiple copies of a movie.

I am keeping mine. Unlike DVD, I find Bluray to be acceptable quality that it never needs to be replaced for something better.

Even without going to the 4K one good reason to replace Mermaid with the new edition would be the correction to all of the shots that were accidentally altered (though some discs were corrected through the replacement program.) And in this case even the Blu-ray looks better than the previous Blu-ray according to reviews.

For me though the upgrade on Mermaid and Lion King are noticeable refinements - so glad I purchased them to go alongside the 3D versions. I think both the 3D and 4K are phenomenal on these titles.

Yeah that’s one of the biggest reasons I’m upgrading, all the fixes that were wrong on the Diamond Edition blu-ray. I didn’t know about the replacement program until a while after I bought it and I guess the replacement window closed by that time and Disney absolutely refused to replace my disc. I was actually shocked, I offered to return the disc to them and everything but they wouldn’t budge.

Also, does anyone in Canada know why the bilingual/French packaging is the only one coming up on Amazon.ca and Best Buy? Disney titles don’t usually have bilingual packaging. At least, I’ve never gotten a Disney title that did.

My guess is that Disney realized "Hey, why are we wasting money releasing two versions of each Canadian Blu-ray, English only and bilingual, when we could just release one".

I'm usually pretty casual when it comes to having a different language on a cover, as long as it's all the same language. Those bilingual covers are shit/merde.

Anything that has a substantial amount of bonus features that weren't carried over into the new release, I'm keeping. Which will likely end up with me having two or three copies of most movies but that's how it is, I guess.

Would rather these movies came with an extra disc that had all the bonus features from older releases instead of just a dvd copy of the movie that I'll never use.

Ugh I really hope that’s not the case. I’ll import it if I have to, bilingual packaging is the ugliest f*cking shit I’ve ever seen.

So I had a question. I don’t know how many people have seen the actual disk but I heard it was an improvement of the blu-Ray disk. I have all the other signature collection titles on blu-Ray and I’m kinda OCD about having one of them in 4K ruining the pattern I guess. However if it’s really good I’ll go with 4K. Do you guys know how much of an improvement it is and is it worth picking up vs the regular blu-ray? (Btw I don’t own TLM in any format).

Buying the 4K also comes with the regular blu-ray, so you can future-proof now rather than buying the blu-ray now and trying to hunt the 4K later down the road. I have an OCD about 2 4Ks ruining the pattern of previous Signature Collection releases too, so I'm just going to rebuy all the 4Ks they release and hope I'll have the entire collection in 4K. Haven't seen the disc itself, but seeing some good reviews.

I don't mind about inconsistencies with this particular collection because Disney didn't care to make consistent covers. I'm not gonna buy The Little Mermaid twice, especially since I already own the 3D Diamond Edition.
Too bad the Signature Collection doesn't get the same treatment as the Legacy Collection.
