Wink Pulled the trigger on HTP-2920

I purchased the 2920 yesterday at BB for 230. I have been on a budget for the whole HT experience, but had to do it. Can't find the time for the theater, don't want to pitch the bucks out for two hours of cell phones and talking not to mention overly salty expensive popcorn...so a decent area in my home so my wife and two boys can enjoy a movie and healthy popcorn at our will! Sorry I digressed...

The HTP-2920 was not my real want, but it turned into reality and I agree with JJxiv1215, it does a great job in a pinch and will serve my boys well in the future after I get the opportunity to upgrade!

I played IronMan on it last night and the sound was great for 230!

I am a newbie so all of this can be taken from that aspect. I will post photos of the set-up in the near future.

Dennis

Glad you enjoyed it Dennis! Do the speaker distance calibrations - with a little tweaking and speaker placement, it sounds great! If you have any thicker speaker wire lying around, use it for the subwoofer, it'll help it out!

I have the older model HTP-2900 and it's decent for my living room. Don't have the money right now to upgrade to TrueHD sound but I will eventually. I also live in a apartment building and I don't want to bother the neighbors..lol..

I am in a small apartment and have this Pioneer system as well. It sounds great and has plenty of power for a smaller room. I like it a lot.

If you don't need a large booming system, then this is a great one to get for a reasonable price.
