Center speaker placement in HT setup

I would probably remove the shelf... drop the center speaker to the floor, and angle it up (put something about an inch thick or so, under the front of it)

I would certainly make sure the t.v. stand is still sturdy after removing that shelf though! It may "twist" more if that shelf is removed


Depending on when you're getting a new home, you may want to just deal with it "as is" rather than go through the motions for a marginal improvement.....

Looks nice though...
