that is what i'm aiming at.
that's pretty lame that you have to go into your PS3 to rip a CD, either forcing you to eventually delete it, or upgrade the hard drive.
on my smartphone, i transfer over the music already in my computer's library that i was going to rip regardless of wether or not i was going to put it into a mobile device.
also, it'd be cool if the PS3 can let you rip movies and copy them over to your PSP, but alas, mobile phone users don't have to hope for better video support.
that's all i'm saying is that it falls behind modern technology BIG TIME in terms of A/V entertainment, and waaaaaaaaaaay behind in terms of games.
last i checked $20 is less than $10, and even more so when you think about playing loco rocco 2 for over 14 months.
it's very simple. PSP needs to have WMP support, because god knows sony isn't going to give apple the courtesy. and then the PSP can begin to rival current technology mobile phones. although it's still one more thing to carry, and like everything, possibly drop and lose/have stolen. given a PSP, the game inside and the MSD card inside can't be insured for replacement.
also, i'm still not convinced there are more than 3 PSP games worth $30.
given all the other gaming options $30 can give you otherwise. by which i mean, greatest hits PS3 games,PS3 PSN titles, underrated PS2 games in hte bargain bin, DS games, iphone games, and even $10 puzzle games compatible with free mobile phones.
and i'm not even going to get into the fact that playing a handheld is significantly uncomfortable compared to console gaming because iphone is also guilty of which, but i would never put a PS1 game in a PSP if i can play it in my livingroom, and i'm aware that may be subjective, but i'd be surprised if anyoen is more comfortable with their neck bent looking at a tiny screen in their hand over sitting comfortably in a couch looking at a TV not forced into any given position.... i guess i did get into it. :P
fact is sony's PSP has fallen behind, and i dare anyone to deny that. like anyoen in this forum will tell you, no sense in buying a new DVD when u can get Blu-ray for the same price.

Okay first off you have some strange idea, why do you want wmp.. that would mean selling the psp to microsoft 100% and cutting them into profits that would be silly thing to do.
Doubtful that they even would let them do that... and Europe would probably sue Sony, for anti competative for now allowing other media players to be installed.
I think you don't understand, you can move them from a computer.. but I already have ripped them onto my ps3 for convience as my computer has no sound card, so theres no reason to have them on the computer library because it can not make physical noise at all, as the sound card is fried.
It would be a full waste of my time to put them on the computer.
Further I prefer ATRAC over mp3 as a personal preference throught not required of me.
Im further sorry mostly I raid sams and buy them for $9.99 of course...
Im not sure how you can blame the dvd ripping thing on the psp... but in total you have told me everything I needed to know.. I have no idea what you want, but it sounds like you will never be happy with anything or any device ever made... I hope you can find happiness one day until then enjoy the barb-o-que..
I hope you find your BBQ one day...
