Just a reminder to not actually use your fireplace in this setup as it currently is.
Fireplaces add an incredible amount of heat to plasma/lcd displays that are above them, which is why there must be a mantle between the fireplace and the display when fires are going. More damaging is the chemicals and soot that is released into the room from all wood fireplaces when lit. You really won't have an issue if you are just using those candles in there. ![]() But, it is going to be a real nightmare if you do light a fire often during the cooler months and watch TV. For most, the mantle is the perfect place to hide the wires as you can route out the mantle or run wiring right under the edge of the mantle to do a great job of hiding wires. But, the setup does look good and paiting those wires the same color as the wall will definitely clean it all up. |
