Do we know yet which is more faithful to how tie dilm looked on 1993? The 2012 Blu ray/2018 4k or the warmer look of the 2013 3D release?

The 3D release is closer but it still has issues.

Tone down the warmness a bit, get rid of the cropping and the DNR and it would look pretty much perfect.

It’s great to hear all the opinions, especially as I thought I had been banned today for questioning the picture quality! That was a strange hour!

Nah you didn't. That message came up for everyone while maintenance was being undertaken. I was shocked for like 2 minutes!

Watched some of JP3 on TV the other day. Yeah I like JP3, sue me. Gotta revisit these UHDs at some point.

Speaking of maintenence, anyone notice the new 'most recent activity' feature right at the top which tells you about any quotes and thanks on your posts?

JP3 is still the best JP sequel to me, I think that bird cage scene near the end is one of the best moments in the franchise.

Agree about the pteranodon cage scene though.

I use to enjoy it just fine. I don't feel the same anymore.

Spino looks cool and Sam Neil is nice to see back in the role as Grant. Begins and ends there for me.

I don't know what you guys are expecting - it's always looked like that, even on film prints. Hell, I still have my Academy screener and the BD/4K has the same "bleached" look. The whole movie looks like it was shot on an overcast day. What we here in SoCal call "June Gloom".

I do get that. It's the best it has ever looked but come on, with proper remastering, it could have been better.

I'm not so sure, it's pre-DI with what looks like an early attempt at some kind of optical color grade.
