Not to sound like a D%#K but anytime "any" mount is used regardless of what type it is, make sure you either know what you are doing or hire someone to do the job.

As far as articulating mounts are concerned. That's why you spend a little extra money on a good mount. If a good heavy duty one is used, there will be absolutely nothing to worry about. It's as simple as buying the proper mount. I'm on my third articulating mount on three separate TV's and I could hang from them all.
