I find it hard to believe Disney would drop the catalog movies from 4K. There is money to be made and Disney likes money. I think we will get some 4K catalog releases, but I don’t think we are going to get everything we want. They are going to pick and choose, not just put everything on a 4K disc. I also don’t see a need for them to add new bonus content. Put the movie on a 4K disc, add the old Blu-ray (with old bonus content) and slap it in a case. That's the way I interpret it; Disney is just going to be way more selective when it comes to what gets a 4K physical release and what doesn't. For example; Aliens - Yes, Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes - Probably not.
