Next week will be another good win, and then the week after the Heroes numbers will drop.

Guaranteed #1 there for HD DVD with a strong showing for Blades of Glory (feet kissing).

If it matters anymore by then there will be all sorts of PR from the HD DVD camp if the numbers are good. You know, trot out Paramount to say "this proves our choice was right" sort of nonsense.

Does this look right? The Shooter numbers are a guess but they have to be something like that due to the high combined numbers for it..

3. 300 45.18
4. Vacancy 21.34
5. Disturbia 16.96
6. Planet Earth 15.22
7. The Lookout 12.29
8. TMNT 11.89
9. Planet Earth 10.95
10. Doctor Strange 10.77
11. Hot Fuzz 10.76
12. Shooter 10.75?
12. The Bourne Identity 9.51
13. Disturbia 7.88
14. Shooter 7.02?
..
..

Fact is that Blu-ray is kicking and will continue to kick HD DUD's butt all over the country. Take it and run!

Default Paramount the sellout

Paramount stabs the winning HD format Blu-ray in the back by accepting $150,000,000.00 bribe from Microsoft.

What I'd like to see is if the paramount change will affect BD sales in the coming months at all.
I personally don't think it will. Mainly cause Disney is finally getting PIXAR on BD, and FOX released 30 new titles....
Plus all the other titles coming out! I think that despite the move, Blu-ray will sell like crazy this holiday and leave HD-DVD in the dust.
I hope the Nielsen numbers reflect this, but we'll just have to keep a vigilant eye.

Other than the Heroes and Transformers weeks FOX's entry is going to help BD win 70-30 plus each week in Q4.
