So earlier in the week i decided to go for the 9 individual 4K movies from zavvi. I was thinking this box set would not see a decrease for Black Friday. So when I saw the deal on Amazon I couldnt resist and went for that too. So now I am going to have to retun my 9 4K movies to Zavvi. Hope it doesnt cost much to ship them back

I get that there are ways and means that people use to print out good quality covers but I just can't be fookin bovvered
I don't like when specs do not match. However for those Jack Ryan titles (except the last, unless you have Euro edition), the BDs didn't really list much in the way of disc content. The extras listed are just "Trailer", which is what is on the BDs included with the 4Ks anyways. And the disc specs still match the included BDs. I did what you have pictured, though I don't like how Shadow Recruit US lists the number of discs on the back and on spine, "2-Disc Set" along with BD plus DVD. I'm tempted to pick up the UK BD for the art (just as I did the US) as it doesn't list the number of discs (was BD only, US was BD + DVD).

I did this with Days of Thunder as well. The BD wasn't included with the 4K for this one, so I have the 'Need For Speed-esque' slip with 4K content listed, with case insert having OG poster art and BD content for the DIY combo pack.

But disc specs, like you've said, aren't really contradictory if the BD in there matches what is on the insert. It's more of a problem for me if it is a SteelBook where the disc contents are printed on the back and the disc inside is from a different company or the contents are completely different. Likewise, I couldn't use a BD insert if the included BD was completely different content-wise.

I would lean towards no. Disney was very resistant to do boxsets of any kind for years so this (and the super limited Marvel set) were probably one-offs to them. Not to mention they are shifting their whole business to focus on Disney+.

I doubt it. I feel like we were “lucky” enough to get the set we did at all.

It’s definitely a nice set, if not a little impractical. I kind of wish they did like how the Harry Potter 4K release is: a 9-disc case for the 4K discs, a 9-disc case for the Blu-rays, and a 9-disc case for the special features.

The Harry Potter set never had the bonus features discs.

While doing some cleaning. I found a ticket stub from Return of the Jedi the special Edition. I still have ticket stubs from Star Wars 4 Special Edition, Phantom Menace 2D and 3D. Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, force Awakens 3D, Last Jedi 3D, rogue One 3D, solo 2D. I don't have Rise of Skywalker or Empire Strikes Back ticket stubs.

I have ticket stubs for every theatrical Star Wars films. I also noticed yesterday out of blue that I still have un-ripped tickets for Pearl Harbor and Gladiator.

It is always nice to find hidden gems like this to see the movie prices back then as compared to today's ticket prices.

I’ve still got an early bird ticket for The Crow I laminated years ago, $2.50. And still have stubs from the 97 Star Wars release.

The LotR and Hobbit 4K Steels have got me in a mood for more now lol. While I’m happy with the Skywalker Saga set, I think if they were to do another one of all nine movies in SteelBooks as a set in one of those nice boxes, I’d get that to replace this one! Especially if all the movies had original poster art 🤤

I don’t see it happening, so I should be grateful for the money I won’t be spending lol.

I'd rather have 3 sets of trilogies.

That would be cool too. I’m thinking in terms of retaining the new Blu-rays and bonus discs too (three discs per Steel).

I saw three Star Wars Boxsets last time I was in Best Buy. I have 4K individual sets of Star Wars, Empire and Jedi Plus original Star Wars and Jedi in 4K. Project77, Project83 from Team Negative. Currently waiting for Project80 to be finished.

Whatever print they had access to for 4K83 was pristine! Holy crap watching that was a joy, no matter how you feel about the movie itself!
