Aren't all of his posters? The only thing I don't like is he used an image of Leia from what looks like Empire for the poster for A New Hope, which looks out of place. I always thought they looked good, though, and they're nostalgic for me too in their own way, getting to see the films in the theater back in '97.

Im thinking of putting the 4k discs where the original blu rays were in the star wars complete saga box and then just keeping the bonus discs from the complete saga and Frankensteining a set together

I did find it predictable and amusing that after Amazon’s most recent restock of 8 of the 10 Star Wars 4K titles that were price matched at $14.99, most sold out quickly but the two that are still available are Attack of the Clones and Last Jedi

Finally caught the deal this time, now just waiting with fingers crossed for a few more to restock to complete the collection. (Ordering from Canada, so going with Amazon as I imagine it will be easier to deal with any possible problems.)

So I have been holding on till black Friday in the slight hope Amazon UK might have the box set reduced. I dont think they will. But either way I expent to go ahead with the purhcase this weeked

Generally is everyone happy with the set or has there been much buyers remorse?

Have any alterations been made to original and prequel trilogy films in this set?

That would work, Star Wars is the most difficult series to “Frankenstein” in my opinion lol. Every release has something different and drops stuff from previous releases (not including re-packed discs).

Has anyone made any custom cover art for Episodes 1-9? I would definitely get a 9-disc case to put just the 4K discs in if there was some nice cover art for it!

tell me about it. If the complete saga set didn't have all the inner artwork I would just keep the 4k disc and all the discs from both. For the force awakens I decided to keep the 4k case and just have the 4k film + bonus disc and 3d version.

Although personally, this is just me but I associate the classic vintage posters with the original versions of the films. If it was up to me I would go with the Struzan posters that were done for the Special Editions, because A) They're awesome and B) it connects more with the revised versions and prequel posters.
I love those Struzan SE posters. Sooooo good.

Star Wars, Star Trek and Bond custom art with the original posters is so beautiful... but I have tried that stuff in the past and never got a good print job I was happy with. Not gonna buy a super expensive printer just for that, and print shops won't do copyrighted material. Arg.

That's why I do shit like this, taking BD covers and putting them into 4K cases. Yeah I get that the specs don't match etc (though they usually do for the BD that's also in there ) but having a misaligned or poorly cut cover pisses me off 100x more than the specs. I get that there are ways and means that people use to print out good quality covers but I just can't be fookin bovvered

Zavvi have a great deal in UK/Ireland to buy 3 x 4K star wars movies for €40 so will work out a lot cheaper than the full boxset. I am so close to ordering but something tells me I will regret not having the box.

Pros and cons? And advise appreacited

I wonder if Lucas expected his “MacClunkey” version to be released by Disney right after he sold them the rights to Star Wars. He had to wait about eight years before the public first heard the word “MacClunkey.” I wonder if the wait was excruciating for him or if enjoyed having that little secret.

I purposely avoided the boxset as I wanted the discs in proper cases, the only unique content to the boxset is the packaging and letter so with buying them individually currently a fair bit cheaper thanks to the 3 for £36 offer it is definitely the option I would choose.

I reckon he enjoyed knowing that there was yet another version (and not just of Star Wars but the other two have further tweaks too) that people were yet to see, i.e. that even though he sold LFL 8 years ago he was yet to give fans the final finger

Lol! I did exactly the same for the TDK Trilogy only I used the standard Blu Ray cover for TDK rather than the Joker one. I bought the blu ray for £1.50 off ebay to put the cover in the 4k disc. Those posters look so much better than the god awful covers they have as standard on the 4k set.
