I wonder if Mad Max 1 in this box is identical to the existing 4K BD release from Kino? Or will the Warner release co-exist with the Kino release?

And if it's Warner specific, is the 4K remaster/encode still expected to be the same as the one from Kino, or a Warner specific one?

I bet they will author their own. I don't think I've ever seen a studio use a boutique's label disc. I've seen boutique labels use studio discs and use other boutique labels' discs, but never the other way around But we shall see.

Some of Criterions blurays have been released in Europe by other labels (Paramount, Universal, 20th Century Fox) people have said using the same transfer as Criterion.

Seeing as an international release would have to be Warners' own UHD anyway (which didn't occur to me, duh) then yes, it's not gonna be Kino's disc. It'll be the same master, but their own versioning of it.

See above. Using the same transfer is a given, I was wondering if they'd re-use the entire Kino disc.

Yes, it's common practice to use the same masters. But Geoff D, I believe, wondered if they'd use the exact same disc data, meaning it would say Kino and have identical menus, specs and features as the Kino release.
