I wonder what company is releasing this? It does not say at neither Platecompaniet nor CDON. I know Kino Lorber has released Mad Max 1 on 4K BD in the US, but it was not released on the Nordic market.

Probably Warner / SF Studios. The old nordic Blu-rays are all from Warner.

I did some searching myself and all could find was this on the Digital Bits 4K Ultra HD release list:

"Warner Bros. Home Entertainment
[...]
Mad Max Trilogy (includes Max Max (1979), Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome) (US/UK) – TBA 11/2 or 11/9/21 – N4K, DA"

I know the info on that list sometimes is a bit shaky, but if accurate it means these movies will get a "global" release too.

Warner has announced Mad Max 2 & 3 on 4K BD in the US too now. See new forum threads that just have been created:

No Mad Max 1 as individual 4K BD release in the US it seems though (maybe because Kino already has released it in the US?). But a box set containing Mad Max 1-4 on 4K BD will be available though.

I haven't upgraded to 4K yet, but I picked up the 4-movie UHD & blu-ray boxset recently for a bargain price & have a potentially stupid question...

On the back of the first movie's case there are a bunch of Special Features listed (commentary, featurettes, trailers etc):



Are these on the 4K disc, or are they supposed to be on the blu-ray?

Does anyone know anywhere in the U.K. or Europe where I can get a corrected disc of Mad Max 2 at a price that doesn’t take the piss?

Incorrect discs were only in US set, all other sets were immediately postponed.

And yet incorrect sets were dispatched by Warner Bros store UK in November 2021, to anyone who had pre-ordered it.

Incorrect stock that was allegedly recalled, was also being sold via Amazon UK AFTER corrected set's date of release.

Just found on AV Forums that the UPC code on the back of the box should be 5 051892235167 (on the barcode on the back of the boxed set). If it is it is the corrected set apparently.
