I'm particularly fond of the second film as I have a lot of childhood nostalgia associated with it thanks to multiple viewings as a kid but part 3 is a riot and it's been years since I last watched it as I have been holding onto hope that it was just around the corner as a vestron release and so I've held off watching both the DVD and Digital HD edition I own

Now that I've sprung for this edition, I'm hoping for Dee Snider's Strangeland, a Cube Trilogy release, Trick or Treat, 976-Evil 2 if they happen to have the license, or Silent Night Deadly Night 3-5 trilogy as the next planned title this year.

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't have another title announcement until August or September, but expect at least 2, if not 3 announcements between September and December.

The second season was terrible and I was Happy! they cancelled it. One terrific season does not need to be drawn out. Hollywood needs to realize that. They told their story in the first season, the second season was pointless.

I didn't like the first film, but absolutely loved the second, probably because I love horror movies with a circus or carnival setting. I've not yet seen the third one, though I have a German release, I haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

That would be excellent news. I particularly love part 4. It's such a weird and bonkers movie.

It’s hard to believe that Monte Hellman directed the worse of the sequels. And he had the best cast too.

Strangeland & Trick or Treat would be definite buy for me. I’m surprised they haven’t released The Dentist 1/2 yet, that would also be a day 1 buy.

I'll just answer quickly, as I don't want either of us to be banned because Zillamon51 thinks we're spamming (I've read much worse, much longer off-topic divergences all over this forum) but yes, for your sake, it would be nice for them to give you one more season to tie things up. For my part, I would be disappointed because I'd likely have to watch it for closure of stories I really didn't care about. Actually, no, I did care. I was very angry with the second season.

I'd buy a blu ray without hesitation but I just don't see that ever happening. I do however have the double feature DVD with both it and Howling IV included so I've at least got some way to watch it.

No Ghoulies 3 announcement but for the first time since the OOP SF a major label, Umbrella, is re-releasing the first 2.

I saw that this morning, haha. I'm intrigued by the inclusion of the television cuts but it didn't mention anything about unrated cuts and so I'm curious if those will be included as well or if they'll have the standard theatrical editions with the cut footage as part of the special features. Hopefully someone around these parts or a potential professional reviewer picks the release up and goes over things as I'd be interested in hearing how it compares to the German and Scream Factory editions.

Someone else releasing a box set with 3?
I've had a German release of 3 for awhile, but a 4k set might tempt me.

Not just anyone either, it's Jesse Nelson, co-owner of Diabolik DVD. So a US re-release is definitely happening.

Arrow is my guess for sure, not sure if it would be iin a box set with others, or its own release, but I do think it has to be Arrow.

Fran's clue sheet also had a GBOX, and a G X's 3 on it, so it could either of those too.

From old Oct VS hint reposted there today, I'd say 99% VS is releasing Ghoulies 1+2 on UHD.
Hint was along the lines of "UHD debut of duo of 80s horror creature classics"
