Even though they run commercial breaks during the movies, Tubi has been really good for obscure horror films.

I wish Tubi had an ad-free plan. I'd pay for it.

What I like about Tubi is the commercials are random. I’ve watched a few movies where there was only one commercial and sometimes no commercials. I can’t watch movies on Pluto Or Roku because the commercials are too regimented. I began to anticipate them while watching the movie. Tried watching True Lies on Roku and gave up when I realized they’d be occurring every ten minutes or so.

Question

Does Lionsgate actually own Trick or Treat? It was released on DVD by Platinum, but who knows how legit that was. (It was a budget, fullscreen disc.) If LG has it, hopefully someone there sees how much interest there is from the rumors. A Vestron edition would be tits!

I ordered Gothic from Amazon last week and it came with a slip. That was the only Vestron title I was missing. I used the pickup promo that Amazon is running right now that gives you $10 off a $20 order for trying one of their Amazon hubs. I chose a Whole Foods Market which also happened to have an attendant and is also a return center. Makes it easy for you to check the condition of the item and return immediately if need be.

Same. Who knows when it will get an American release. Do you have the soundtrack by Fastway? I got it from Amazon a while back for like five bucks.

Actually my copy came with the CD. I still need to listen to it. When I first bought it none of the discs were in there even though it was sealed! Thankfully D&T believed me and sent me extras.

I haven't watched anything on Netflix (including films) for a long time now. The last films I watched on there were the Elm Street remake and a trilogy of themed slashers.

By the way, good to see you back.

Speaking of Netflix and Syfy, need I remind everyone that the latter cancelled Happy!, the best and most unique show on TV because they didn't promote it enough causing people to think it was only on the former where it became popular...and they didn't save it either!!!

People need to keep talking about this show and show their love and support because doing that is what's going to save it.

Best case scenario, Peacock saves it and I would welcome that.

Take a look at it, it's worth the watch (plus you can't say no to Patton Oswalt as a cute blue unicorn).

I think you mean latter there, rather than former since it was SyFy that cancelled it, not Netflix, who had nothing do with the show (other than having it on the service).

Yeah, I saw the mistake. My bad.

Point being, it's a terrific show and it needs to come back. Anyone agree?

Incidentally, anyone interested in saving Happy! PM me and I'll supply the links. The time for this show to return is NOW.

Also know Chris Meloni, Brian Tayor, and Patton Oswalt (basically everyone involved in the show) are up to do more.

I loved the Grant Morrison comic that the show is based on, and thought the first season of Happy! was excellent.
The second season was terrible and I was Happy! they cancelled it. One terrific season does not need to be drawn out. Hollywood needs to realize that. They told their story in the first season, the second season was pointless.
(I do appreciate your passion for the show, though!)

Thumbs down

Does all this Happy / Netflix stuff have anything to do with Vestron? If not, it's OT at best and spam at worst. I assume there are more appropriate threads elsewhere in the forum. If not, feel free to start them.

Expect a Ghoulies 3 leak/announcement any day now. I've held out for as long as I could but finally broke down today and ordered this gray market release...

Now if I could just get an HD edition of 976-Evil 2 I'd finally have everything from the old 8 film DVD collection.

[Show spoiler]I'm going to be so pissed if the next thing released by Vestron turns out to be Ghoulies 3

Once it arrives I'll add it to the Database for folks that may also want to go this direction. It's a Spanish release.

Forgot what was the last Vestron Video title I purchased. More likely than not I'm going to get Dementia 13 and The Wraith.

Anyway, good to see you back on here.

Have held off on getting any Blu-ray release of the Ghoulies films, and from getting Eureka's release of 976-Evil because I was hoping for the sequel to get a physical media Blu-ray release so I could get both at the same time.

I've got Scream Factory's original double feature release (and the old DVD flipper disc) but this was all the more appealing for the fact that it housed each film on it's own disc. I think it includes the uncut editions of parts 1 & 2 as well though I guess we'll find out when it arrives.

I considered the German edition but the cost was even more and since I'm really only buying this for Ghoulies 3, I wanted to go as affordable as I could while also factoring in proximity to my home and how long it will take to arrive. This should be here by next weekend.

I've always liked these films and the mood struck me just right today to go for it.
