Yes it was in SD and in the wrong aspect ratio. Because Lionsgate won't create a widescreen HD master for it all of the Blu-Ray releases (there was another release in finland i think) are just upconverts of the original cropped 4:3 Lionsgate DVD release.

It aired in HD on one of the premium movie channels a few years ago. That was the first time I'd ever seen it in widescreen.

They've definitely prioritized original productions in the past decade. Back in like 2010, 2011, Netflix Instant (as it was called) was synonymous with catalogue titles, and I'm talking deep cuts. A lot of titles that finally came to disc as part of various MOD programs were on Netflix beforehand. Some of those titles still haven't been properly released on disc in Region 1/A. Just tons of obscurities that you could never imagine being on there now, when they barely even have any catalogue stuff older than the 80s.

^ When I first got streaming NetFlix, it consisted of nearly the entire Troma and MGM libraries, plus a lot of fullscreen LionsGate titles like Evolver and The Unnamable.

Now, you probably won't find anything on there from before the year 2000. Most of it is "originals".

Can anyone point to any sort of credible post where he or anyone else gave any indication is was coming? As far as I can recall the Trick or Treat talk has never had even even a morsel of proof to substantiate that it may be coming. I believe all conversation has come out of... "my cousin knows someone at Lionsgate that says it's coming" talk from folks here and elsewhere online.

He lost credibility a long time ago. He recently lost all human decency when he started posting pictures of people's kids on his Twitter which was utterly disgusting. How he didn't get removed from Twitter after that is beyond me.
