We still haven't decided, last time I heard we may be planning to release the three previously released titles as standalone releases and the other 4 as a set, but it hasn't been confirmed.

KLI, just wondering how would you say it's been working with French and Italian companies versus US studios? Are they easier to work with, or more challenging when it comes to terms/pricing?

I think two Truffaut volumes with 3 and 4 films respectively would probably be an ideal compromise between all individual release and one bigger set.

Kino Insider - Of the 7 80s titles previously released on Blu-ray, are you able to reveal how many were released (on Blu) by Shout Factory? Guessing it's a few.

They're usually more complicated.

Some of the most complicated releases are single film deals.

@Kino Lorber Insider I'm sure that I'm not the only one that loves Kino's reverse cover art choices and I'm not just saying that to suck up, I honestly hate the majority of Shout Factory's custom art. A lot of fans would love for all the slipcover blu-ray and 4k releases to give us the option to reverse the cover art because it give the release more of a collector's edition feel. Is it to expensive for you guys to do that for every slipcover release?

P.S. Thanks for replying to my last question so quickly

Interesting. I figured it would be something along those lines, as I remember you mentioning the difficulty in acquiring Violent City. I've also heard some issues with numerous Italian film companies.

I wasn't sure how it would be with the French companies, as they are pretty large, but I guess certain companies can be more difficult to deal with than others.

Some WSL buys, thanks to some of the recommendations upthread.

I implore anyone who is dawdling to pick up Portrait of Jennie before it's too late

They could release it in partnership with Ignite Films, include a poster signed by Hunter Carson, and slap that $70 price tag on it in no time flat!

Releases with alternate o-card options, would need separate UPC/Part numbers and we're not interested in doing this. In some cases we used the newly commissioned art, But the majority of our o-cards is the original poster art. The TV movies rarely have usable original art, so most of those are newly commissioned.

It seems like "Author! Author!" (1982) would be released by Kino, if it were ever to be release on blu.

Not unless Disney changes their licensing tune.
