It’s funny that this would pop up. I just received mine today. I ordered along with Tombs of the Blind Dead. They shipped separately. Blind Dead is just now on its way. Anyways, I’m hoping to watch this one within the week.

Finally got around to watching this (although I did only order it a couple weeks ago). I thought I had probably seen it on cable or something way back when, but somehow I never did. Loved everything about it except for that ****ing song! Made a great double feature with The New Kids. Thought about Class of 1984 but went NK since I hadn't seen that in so long (2011) I forgot most of it.

This movie inspired the 1989 film "Heather's.

It's been years since I've seen it. I think I remember expecting more gore than it gave. It seemed "tame" to me as a young teen.

The gore was pretty tame, but it was just such a well made film. This transfer is probably as good as 1080p can be, felt like 4K. Incredible restoration from other clips I have seen. Awesome nudity, including a grail (
[Show spoiler]Kimberly Beck
) I never thought I would see (and must've forgot to look for on internet ). Good documentary too, I knew that song didn't fit and had no business.

I can definitely see the parallels with Heathers. Much more subdued comedy in this though.

It was probably 1994 when.I saw this film. I think maybe it was on the USA network or something. Maybe I would like it better today. I might try to watch it sometime.

It has to be getting closer. Me and a at least one other person just recently grabbed steels (thanks to a recommend in another thread), so the wait list has shrank by at least 2. Once they sell the steels, or get low enough, a standard will surely follow. They always have so far.

You haven't seen the film until you watch this transfer.

As much as I wanted to get the Synapse Blu-ray steelbooks of this and The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue, due to what the total cost would be (you get what you pay for though), I decided to wait for the eventual standard editions.

Just watched by Blu-ray. Beautiful picture quality. I really enjoyed the film. But of course there are acting flaws but the kills are inventive. But it was so odd how, for instance, Kimberly Beck's character was so emotionless. Like when Andrew Stevens character told her... I forget his name... There was an "accident" with the ugly ASF blonde dude in the van, she just like, "He's dead?" and just no expression whatsoever. Just weird. Now in Friday the 13th, she was amazing.
But overall, I like this movie.

It's meant to be like that. The whole affair is 50s teen flick turned up to exploitation.

I understand what you mean but even in those 1950s movies they had some emotion. I guess it's the director's intent for it to be strange.
