my 'other' has a friend over right now this very second, and she said, "your setup looks awesome!!!", of which I replied, "yeah, of course it does, but do you want to hear it?". I'm now playing the Sara Bareilles blu concert, and they are talking through the whole damn thing! I've got it turned up to -8 db and it only makes them shot louder! I can now here them starting certain songs over and making fun of the audience they are showing! WTF! Get the heck out of my living space and leave me to watch what I want to! Venting.

The first thing i tell ppl before watching something on my setup is respect it or leave and then i have no problems

i had people over saturday for pizza and a blu (early birthday thing) and throughout Transformers everyone in the kitchen (read: the women) were talking so loud we had to put the subtitles on. then we (the men) got the "turn that down its too loud"

thats when i snapped....i just shouted, "SHUT THE HELL UP!!!"

i hate to create jealousy but my wife lets me have the sayso about most everything but i kinda made that a "law" before the marriage ,at the time i was racing and i told her that one paycheck would pay the bills the other would pay for the racing ,she agreed so i kept her

To my understanding, WAF is "Wife Approval Factor" or that is how I see it used most often.

And I feel your pain ice.....my relatives or wife's friends don't even care enough about my stuff to even go into the basement to check it out....so I guess that is a good thing.....

thats FANTASTIC!!!

i dont mind showing my system off, but i could care less.
i only show it off when someone asks, if not i keep the volume respectable.

i know what it can do so theres no need to show it off.

and unless people have a good ear, they never notice the lossless audio.......they just listen to how loud the system can go and compliment that
