The Predator's are sore losers I guess. Maybe that's why Danny Glover's character got a prize at the end of P2. He cut the Predator's arm off and stopped him from blowing up LA and then killed him hand to hand.

The trailer does show the red dot sight from the shoulder canon being used although it that doesn't automatically mean its in the movie. Plenty of trailers include scenes or images that aren't in the movie just to try and make the trailer more exciting. Like the Hulk fighting with the rest of the Avengers in Wakanda at the end of Infinity War.

I'm also curious to film in general because Trachtenberg has only directed one awesome feature. He could have directed anything else and decided to direct this, which is also an obvious selling point.

I'm probably wrong but I think off the top of my head, the only non modern/future tech kill against a Predator was the fight with the Yakuza guy in Predators. I mean, that dude only used the sword and his skill.

Why are folk scoffing and saying " how can they fight Predators with no serious weapons?" I mean that's what makes the film interesting to me. It's also literally the ending to the first movie. You know, the one everyone loves! Christ this forum does my tits in sometimes.

Here's a question, what is YOUR Predator continuity? Or the canon that you'd like following movies to keep/forget.

For example, most (sane) people only take Terminator 1 and 2 as canon and everything after as whatever, some people are the same with Alien and Aliens.

For Predator I mainly stick to P1/2. I can stretch to Predators, but always come across a bit deflated afterward. It's going to start getting messy with what Predators can and can't do with so many sequels, crossovers, comics, etc. I like what was established in 1 & 2 and hope that's the basis for any future sequel or prequel.
