The only one other title I love they release that was big seller was Spaceballs and even that had problems that Kino wouldn't fix.

I did however love The Producers, the non-Sellers PP films, and The Nude Bomb.

I felt insulted there. They could've worded it better.

The Dr. Who movies are not bad sellers, they're very good sellers, we just think they're NOT big enough to release on 4K.

Spaceballs and The Producers were big sellers, SB very big. The non-Sellers PP film were not. The Nude Bomb did the numbers we expected.

Sorry, if you felt insulted, that was not my intention. I just found it funny that you asked for 4K versions of movies that you've seen on the WHILE SUPPLIES LAST sale since the start of the promotion around 3 years ago. The 2-disc sets are being offered for $5.99 and I think at one time even $4.99 and we still haven't been able to get rid of the stock. I think we'll sellout the Blu-ray before the rights expire, but we'll end up purging hundreds of DVDs.

We misjudged the cult status and importance of the Thunderbirds movies, it was released a 3000 limited edition by Twilight Time and had sold out.

And many of them had been released more than once, TT re-released some of them as encore editions.

I didn't even realize these movies were on the While Supplies Last sale(s) (I don't pay much attention). I'm on a Gerry Anderson kick currently and I just thought it'd be a cool idea to restore and release the Thunderbirds movies in 4K (with a remastered Blu-ray copy included), maybe even add more extras. I know sales affect the possibility of something, but still.

I know that despite what people think, there is a good number of Gerry Anderson/Thunderbirds fans in the US, but I guess not as much in the UK (which is understandable).

But anyway, thank you Kino. Again, I'm happy you've given us new retail editions of these movies and I'm happy to have both formats in my collection (and for going the extra mile to give both films their own disc, extremely nice of you there).

They are but I don't think that they have much cultural resonance in the US, unlike in Britain where they are considered to be much more iconic. If you didn't grow up watching Thunderbirds, they can come across as kind of goofy if you see them for the first time as an adult. Team America and the live action movie didn't do the original series any favors either.

Never seen Thunderbirds but Team America was awesome.

Next sale is June, it may have been mentioned as second half of the month running into part of July.

And then sales in September and December.

The Studio Canals are being put out in steelbook and ltd edition sets.
