I'm gonna be hated for this, but I would actually say Ghostbusters was visually amazing. But, if you want "blow you away PQ", I would say 2001, The Prestige, Sunshine or anything that was computer animated.

I think you should buy a movie you like that has a good review on this site.

I find that even if it looks gorgeous it can't improve the experience if the movie is crap.

In my opinion nothing tops 'No Country for Old Men' for pure quality. It isn't an action film but it really shows what blu-ray offers. If your mouth doesn't drop the first time you see the grass in the field... wow.

I would agree except for Scorpion King and Reign of Fire... Day of Tomorrow also isn't in the same league as those other movies for 'quality film'...

I kind of like the way grain looks in most movies. I have only had a few times with movies where the grain was too much and it was in terrible movies anyway.
