Well, the week was rough, but I finally got up there. The final haul is:

13. The Silence Of The Lambs Blu-ray
594. Godzilla Blu-ray
909. Night Of The Living Dead 4K
1036. Bruce Lee: His Greatest Hits Blu-ray
1185. After Hours 4K

Total was roughly $163. Only ones that hurt to leave behind were Thelma & Louise, Citizen Kane (they were all the first press), and WALL-E (not so much for the movie, which I do like, but because I want to show them I want more Disney). If I go back, definitely gonna do WALL-E and T&L, unsure about CK because the replacement program was so clunky. If I don’t get them this go-round, they’re on the November list.

What did Disney do with Straw Dogs and Notorious? I’m in the dark about that one.

It was an original 1932 archival print. Looked pretty good. Certainly better than the print of The Princess Bride which showed before it. They weren't allowed to chop the headers off the reels, so there was several seconds of blackness every 20 minutes. Was in an old theater that'd been abandoned for 20 years, all bare concrete, audio was thus pretty terrible. Ran 65 minutes.
Was there any differences versus the 2004 DVD?

Don't know about Straw Dogs, but for Notorious:

Originally developed as a Selznick production -> Selznick sold all rights to RKO shortly before shooting began -> Selznick later bought it back from RKO years after it was released -> Bought by ABC along with most other Selznick productions -> ABC got bought by Disney

Straw Dogs was another ABC Picture release Disney acquired when they bought ABC. It's been put out on home video by Anchor Bay, MGM/Fox, and Criterion since.

Announcements for tomorrow or the 17th:

Every month I keep expecting the first Wes Anderson 4K announcement. For October, Fantastic Mr. Fox or Rushmore would be perfect.

IMO Vivien Leigh's best film (yes, better than you-know-what), certainly her best pairing with Larry Olivier. Winston Churchill's favorite film!

I'd rather something new, Lewton's own personal favorite of his films in 4K.

I’m really hoping for Demonlover to be one of the October titles. Surprised that Criterion didn’t announce it yet, since most of the directors other movies are in the collection.

I wouldn’t say most of his are in the collection, 6 out of 17. But i always welcome more Assayas films to Blu!

My predictions for Monday: I'm not going to see releases of Tarsem Singh's The Fall, The Ballad of Buster Scrubs, or any Ozu films

As for Monday, wishful thinking, but would love a boxset of all of the non Godzilla Ishiro Honda films Criterion has or Demon Pond. I hope we get something Japanese never on HD disc yet.

No. They just said starting this Fall, so I have to imagine we'll see the first of them with October or November releases.
