Wife and I really enjoyed it. I can't say I've been following this movie, even though I grew up with the Turtles and was a huge fan of the cartoon, along with the 1990 movie, but that's pretty much where my interest peaked. I did watch the 2007 movie, and found it pretty forgettable. Skipped the Bay movies.
Most surprising part for me was how genuinely funny we found it. The humor is more "all ages" than "just for kids", if that makes any sense. Score elevates the material, too. I had no idea Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross were behind it, but it is a highlight for sure. Fight scenes are well animated and easy to follow. I'm legit excited to pick up the 4K and watch it again. i think all the positive reviews are spot on. |
