What a time to be alive. Lustig has openly wanted to add this to his catalog since the start of Blue Underground. He finally has and now he'll be doing it with style in 4k. This also marks the first 4k poliziottesco! I am so happy for him and all the fans of the genre. Release of the year for me, by far!

Tarantino once said (in his commentary on "True Romance") that (paraphrasing) "half the reason he wanted to become famous was to make the public aware of the really cool, unknown, and unappreciated films". Lustig has definitely been that guy for me, as all it took was purchasing his release of "Contraband" aka "Luca il contrabbandiere" to set me down a wonderful journey exploring all the English-friendly poliziotteschi titles I could get my hands on. I hope this 4k release does the same for others new to the genre!
