I really hope WB see's this as well that all their damn titles that are coming out in both formats that blu is kicking its ass. I bet if they released batman begins and matrix it would sell more copies in the first week than hd dvd has sold since they have been out.

I'm 90% sure it would. I know I would buy both on release day.

My point is, why is the stock so much lower at all of these stores when compared to HD-DVD. Why would stores be stocking the HD-DVD version and have no sign of the Blu-Ray version?

Did they not get any? If so, why?

It isn't that they didn't stock it, it is that the blu version sold out quickly. I remember when I went to my BB 4 of the 7 people in line had TROY for Blu with them

There was also concern of it shipping late, so many who may have ordered it online ran out to stores to buy it. My Fry's had 5-6 on Tuesday night.

If they sold out there would be some sign of it (price sticker, empty shelf space) but there is nothing.

SO anyone see a copy near 880 from Santa Clara all the way to 80 in Berkeley?
I would like to pick one up on my commute home.

Get it in Emeryville supposedly they still have it in stock. It is right off of I-80 in the Powell st. exit.

Endcap display? When I bought 300 at Target it was on an endcap and not with the rest of the BDs.

Hasnt the HDDVD version been out for months? Of course they're going to have it in stock.

The fact that the bluray version is sold out everywhere is a good sign.

Default No one in their right mind wants the HD-DVD version

I don't think WB made less BD copies of Troy, but rather less people are buying the HD-DVD version. My local Best Buy only had 1 copy left (I got lucky ); while they had at least 12 HD-DVD's of Troy left.

I think we showed WB once more that the market is really demanding Blu-ray as the next format.

Well that and Troy (theatrical cut) has been out for over a year on HDDVD.
I know I am not speaking for ALL hddvd owners, but I wasn't prepared to double dip, i can tell you that much.

Let's not forget that the HD-DVD version of Troy came out months ago.

The blu ray version has been selling out everywhere here in the Seattle area, near impossible to find!

Just got home...heh....long ass day.

Best Buy in Emeryville was stocking the new Blu-Ray titles when I got there. It was easy pickings as all of my target movies were conviently located next to one another on the cart.

BTW they had 5 on the cart when I left. 3 people were looking for that Super Man TV show....none to be found.

Warner Bros warehouse underwent a major remodeling the last couple of weeks, not all the BLU titles that were scheduled to be released on the 18th made it to the shelves. I got my version of TROY but the very helpful guy at Best Buy told me of the Warehouse situation, and that why "We are Marshall" didnt end up in my hands. Its very weird to say WB is anti-BLU, when 6 of the 7 titles I have are WB movies......whats this all about?
