Ummm...the upcoming local 4K release does come with a Blu ray copy, with Special Features included. Maybe not all the special features from other editions overseas (I think there was a 4 disc U.K version) but surely the same special features that were on the last Blu ray release here.

So… The Final Cut is NOT on the UHD, only the theatrical and hence why they have a 1080pBD (and that’s the 2 Blu-Ray in the set).

With the Blu-Ray release, there was a bonus disc. I thought the 2 discs in the 4K release would be the UHD (with both cuts) and the bonus disc, not a 1080pBlu-Ray copy.



Suppose I can keep the bonus disc set (Edit: as Alister M mentioned above: Simultaneous post), and pass on the 1080pBD from the Blu-Ray to my mate. While it does state “2 discs” on the front cover, it doesn’t talk about the bonus disc on the back. I’m sure he will just be happy with the film anyway.
