I would love a movie to be available On Demand and at Best Buy a few weeks after opening in a theater.

I wouldn't, because I like movie theaters, and as someone else pointed out, if you cut down on the time that it's only available in theaters, then theaters will be forced to either raise ticket prices (not good) or go out of business (not good).

I'm glad movies don't take as long to hit home video today as they did when I was a kid, but I don't think they need to be even sooner. I don't think offering a movie on tons of platforms is going to get more viewers, as much as it's just going to spread the existing viewers around.
