But once again there was a race, good battles for positions, lot's of passing. Would have been a great race if the rain wasn't so heavy - it was great watching everyone jockeying around the pits changing tires trying to outguess the weather. Ferrari sure missed the boat on that one, and Toyota was right on the ball came out of the pits with their medium tires about 35 secs behind Button who was ripping around prior to the rain. By the time Button came in for his rain boots they were only something like 20 secs behind in only a few laps on the mediums and took over the lead while he was in the pits. Then the flood gates opened up and it was over but boy did it come down

I suspect that Malaysia is like South Carolina in August. Every day at 5:00 we have a torrential downpour. Having a twilight race in Malaysia is a bad idea.

It's one of the irony of old Bernie Casherstone He wan't to move the races out of Europe because he's saying that the race tracks and infrastructures are too old and there is more money to make with these new race track in Asia but he want's the races to start in Asia so they are in a good time slot for the viewers in Europe, a clear case of I want my cake and the frosting on top of it as well. F1 need's to get rid of this old geezer

I watched the race in Malaysia and was very dissapointed in the outcome and to see the race end in a rain drenched way. The pace car wins again! Nice to see Button enjoying success but its no surprise really because he has Ross Brawn running things and everyone who follows F1 knows the success Brawn can bring, just ask Michael Schumacher the 7 time world champion. To bad Ferrari let him slip away. Right now I am very disapointed in my team and feel this is not Ferrari's year.

It's not going well for Ferrari this year, that is for sure. I am happy because I cannot stand Ferrari (ok I was a fan 25 years ago when Villeneuve was there), My team is Williams

Another Grand prix over the weekend, Chinese Grand Prix, in the rain. Still it was a good race, again Ferrari with no points, McLaren & BMW with troubles. Truly it's a lot of fun watching these little race team doing much better. The changes made are putting the skills of pilots back into play and not just the car.

Well, looks like I'm going to have to eat my words! Red Bull finished 1-2 in those Renaults when everyone else - including Toro Rosso - was struggling. Maybe they finally have those cars figured out?

it is nice seeing other teams and drivers doing well. It is anybody's championship this year. I wish the super aguri team was still in it. Still, there is a long way to go and anything can( and probably will) happen.

The circus is going back to Europe, Barcelona, Monaco....that is when we will see if the big teams can start to pull back the others in. But as you say it's an exciting season so far.

In order to make things work well in North America you would need at least 2 Grand Prix, one in Canada the other in the USA and not at Indianapolis.

There are plenty of beautiful F1-worthy road courses in the U.S. but they'll never see an F1 race as long as Bernie Ecclestone is in charge.

Wow there is just loads of talk about Schumacher joining Rosberg as the 2nd driver for the new Mercedes GP team. Given Ross Brawn's involvement it would not be surprising, sure would be exciting though!!

I hope it happens this time, I miss Schumi!

I have no freakin clue as to why Shumacher wants back in F1. The guy has done everything there is to do in F1. And for him to even be thinking to be driving for anyone else and not Ferrari is mind boggleing to me. Schumi's time has come and gone and its time for him to do other things and let the young guns of F1 do their thing.

I think without Ross at MGP there is no chance, but Schumi's relationship with RB was the biggest part of his time at Ferrari outside of the actual racing of course.

At 41, the reason he'd want back is because he misses the thrill and wants a new challenge. No doubt he'd be excited to race against Hamilton and Button, 2 Brits in McLaren's against 2 Germans in the Mercedes team.

I would be stoked.

I'm looking forward to his return. Not that this past season wasn't enjoyable, but it was lacking a personality, that one driver people either loved or loathed, and it was missing a true rivalry (Vettel vs. Button didn't have the same cachet as Schumacher vs. Alonso or Schumacher vs. Häkkinen).

On a separate note, I'm not sure if Button is a suitable fit for VMM, but I suspect that the organization doesn't care as long as he can replicate the results from this past season (I'm still rooting for Hamilton though; if Schumacher does suit up for Brawn, this could put me in a quandary, even though I've been an avid supporter of McLaren-Mercedes).
