Which of these 4 Sony's do you most recomend?

The Onkyo systems will work fine with your TV. I personally would go with the HT-S6200. It adds a few features, and includes HDMI switching, which means you only have to run a single HDMI cable from your components to the receiver. The Onkyo systems are very far above the Sonys that you mentioned. You'll be amazed at how easy it is to set up, and how wonderful it sounds !!

Blu ray movies have HD audio (lossless) soundtracks on most discs. Very old movies that are remastered to blu ray may not, but all the newer movies do. Some receivers, such as the one with the 6200, will decode the HD audio codecs, so you can hear the HD (lossless) soundtracks. These soundtracks sound better than regular DD and DTS over an optical connection.

Some blu ray movies have discreet 7.1 soundtracks too, which isn't possible to hear over optical or digital coax connections. They are only possible over HDMI or 7.1 multi-channel analog connections. I mentioned the Onkyos because they are a lot of bang for the buck, and I thought you'd rather have something good, rather than buy something you'll probably end up not being happy with.

Amazon.com is a factory authorized dealer for Onkyo, so you get the Onkyo's two year warranty. I bought my Onkyo 805 from them. If you scroll down the Amazon page, you'll see (on the left) "Service Plans", so you can get extended service contract on it. It's just above where it says "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought"................

yeah the AMZ service plans are not valid for residents of Maine for some reason so I loose out there. Yeah man I love those 2 systems... I see the more expensive one has gone up in price by 5 dollars in the last 2 hrs.. the other lost 9 bucks.

No offense, but i think its a little funny you didnt know about HD audio formats since u have a big collection and been a member of this site. But i can tell uve been enjoying the visuals they provide.. and let us know what you get

Unless you are complete audiophile - not that there's anything wrong with that - or are planning on setting up a man-cave style home theater (in which case you most likely wouldn't go with a HTIB anyway) the difference between lossy and lossless audio will be negligible.

yeah dude I find it kind of funny too, lol.. tech terms and I DO NOT GET ALONG. I have been mostly satisfied with my audio (only had my own HD TV since early December) but might be getting a system this week
