I already have a top contender for worst film of the year... Leap Year - Blu-ray Forum

so far for films I have seen this year they keep getting worse... I have high hopes for Book of Eli to be a solid early year film...but I am about 40 minutes into leap year and it is AWFUL... here are the films I have seen so far with a 10 word "review"

1. Youth in Revolt [January 8 - Romantic Comedy] (1/9) Mediocre Even Michael Cera's awesome mustache could not save this movie.
2. Wonderful World [January 8 - Drama] (1/10) Didn't Like It The film seemed to go on forever after an hour.
3. Leap Year [January 8 - Romantic Comedy] (1/12) Hated It This film made me want to leap off a cliff.

I can enjoy Rom Com's... but they must have some comedy.

Kinda surprised to hear that people don't like Youth in Revolt

I was looking forward to it, but I guess after awhile all actors have their magic wear off.

yeah Cera just isnt doing it for me anymore.. I enjoyed the first 30 minutes or so then I got REALLY bored...

He just keeps playing the same character over and over again!

I don't know if it's the same for Youth in Revolt, but I suspect so with the trailers I've seen. And I know that can be said for alot of actors. People gotta step their game up!

I have seen two movies in theaters this year and they were both 2009 films; Avatar 3D and Couples Retreat. So, I'm off on a good start.

Personally I really enjoyed Youth in Revolt. If you want to watch something with Cera that sucks try Infinite Playlist. But I''ve been quoting Youth in Revolt since I left the theater. You gotta love some of the language Francois was using to seduce Sheeni in her dorm room.

Youth in Revolt was filmed before all of those except Juno I believe. The studio sat on this movie for awhile. When they do this it usually means the movie is not that good or very similar to something else recently released. Sounds like it hits the mark on both counts.

I really enjoyed Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, but to each their own. I have no interest in seeing any of the three movies originally mentioned by the OP though.

Cera is kind of one dimensional. He really needs to challenge himself with a completely different role for his next film.

Best Blu-ray Movie Deals
